CWI3501-075 was crafted from an eighteen karat gold IWC Da Vinci quartz watch, circa 1976.

After a client purchased this IWC Da Vinci and provided it to Cloister to be reimagined, we completed a full cosmetic restoration of the watch’s case and replaced the battery on the Beta 21 quartz movement. We executed a “date-delete” and selected a 1970s-inspired hue along with a linen finish for the dial. We designed, fabricated and applied yellow gold markers for the watch’s dial, and retained the original handset, plating it in yellow gold and painting the seconds hand white in an homage to another Cloister project executed for the same client.
