CWR1002-008

CWR1002-008 was crafted from an eighteen-karat yellow gold Rolex Ref 1002, circa 1954.

After this watch’s owner provided it to Cloister to be reimagined, we sourced and installed a rare “Aztec” bezel, completed a full mechanical overhaul of the watch, and then selected a subtle eggshell hue for the dial, rendered in gloss paint. We applied all accenting text in a dark chocolate brown hue to complement the watch’s gold case. The dial’s lower text was replaced with the new owner’s initials, rendered in large-font block text. Two bespoke Parisian straps were commissioned (not pictured): One in color matched eggshell suede with chocolate brown stitching, and another in matte black crocodile; all straps were fitted with eighteen karat yellow gold period-correct Rolex tang buckles.
