CWR1601-048 was crafted from a Rolex Ref. 1601 Datejust, circa 1965. Building upon the original “Just Orange” project, we added several critically unique cues.

After matching a forest green color sample supplied by the piece’s owner, we removed the applied hour markers from the dial to create an unadorned feel inspired by Onyx-dial Rolexes of the era, and rendered all accenting text in a contrasting white. We then replaced the dial’s lower text with the new owner’s initials in a Rolex-inspired font and delivered the piece fitted with a period-correct, Rolex Oyster Link bracelet.
