CWJ497-015

CWJ497-015 was crafted from one of the 500 stainless steel, European-specification Jaeger-LeCoultre Cal. 497 Futurematics, circa 1955.

After this watch’s original owner provided it to Cloister to be reimagined, we mixed a metallic blue hue for the dial, applied in a vertical brushed finish, and rendered accenting text primarily in white with the “Futurematic” moniker in a Cloister-designed script. The power reserve sub-dial was rendered in a stark blue/ red palette. We commissioned a bespoke Parisian cordovan leather strap in dark brown with contrasting grey stitching and stamped the new owner’s initials into the strap’s lining. The strap was fitted with a contemporary Jaeger-LeCoultre tang buckle.
